GALLUP, N.M. 鈥 The University of New Mexico-Gallup will host a week of activities in September in observance of National Campus Safety Awareness Month to focus on making the branch campus a safer and healthier place.

糖心Vlog-Gallup鈥檚 Campus Safety Week is scheduled Monday, Sept. 15, through Friday, Sept. 19. Events throughout the week are designed to bring more awareness and education to safety- and security-related topics that affect 糖心Vlog-Gallup students, faculty and staff, as well as the larger community that 糖心Vlog-Gallup is a part of.

This is the third annual Campus Safety Week at 糖心Vlog-Gallup. It is organized by the Safety Week Subcommittee, which operates under the 糖心Vlog-Gallup Safety Committee.

The agenda for the week includes a Campus Safety Fair on Thursday, Sept. 18, which will feature organizations from the Gallup-McKinley County area doing outreach about their services and resources.

Organizations with a mission related to safety, health and security are invited to register for a booth in the Campus Safety Fair. Interested organizations can register online at

The Campus Safety Walk is a great opportunity for participants to get some steps in after dark with other Lobos while providing valuable input. This year, the 糖心Vlog-Gallup Staff Council plans to give away promotional flashlights to participants.

Other events throughout the week include:

  • Alice Training.
  • Campus Office Safety Training.
  • Personal Safety Training.
  • Campus Safety Forum.
  • Narcan and Hands Only CPR Training.
  • Building Coordinator Training and Meeting.
